Introduction

Boardgamer ("we", "our" or "app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our mobile application, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

Information we collect

Local data (never transmitted to external servers)

• • App preferences: Theme (light/dark), language, tool settings (default timer values, life points, etc.). Stored locally on your device, never transmitted. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
• • In-app purchases: Managed through Google Play Billing. The app only receives confirmation of premium status. No payment data is stored in the app. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Data transmitted to the server (only during online sessions)

When you use the online mode, the following data is transmitted via a real-time WebSocket connection:

• • Player name: voluntarily entered by the user to join the session.
• • Player color: chosen by the user.
• • Session identifier: a randomly generated code created at connection time, not associated with the device or any personal data, valid only for the duration of the session.
• • Game data: dice rolls, timer state, first player selection.

The server handles this information exclusively in memory. It does not use any database or persistent storage. All data is automatically deleted upon disconnection. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Data we do NOT collect

• • We do not collect personally identifiable information (email, phone number, etc.)

• • We do not collect contacts, photos or other personal files
• • We do not use any third-party SDK, tracker or analytics
• • We do not sell any data to third parties
• • We do not store any session or game history

Internet connection and ads

The app may connect to the Internet to display advertisements managed directly by Lucky Sistemi (native ads). No third-party advertising frameworks are used. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

Security

Local data is stored on your device. Data transmitted during online sessions travels over a secure WebSocket connection. The server uses no database or persistent storage: all session data exists only in memory and is automatically deleted upon disconnection. There are no user accounts.

Children

Boardgamer is suitable for all ages (PEGI 3). It does not collect personally identifiable data under any circumstances, including from minors. The player name entered for online sessions is entirely free-form and is not retained.

User rights

As a data subject, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, where applicable. Since the server retains no data persistently and online sessions are automatically deleted upon disconnection, all local data can be removed by uninstalling the app. For any request, please contact us at the email address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We recommend checking it regularly for any changes.
